It has been months since I last posted here on this ROOPA site. The primary reason is the ease with which Face Book has allowed me to up load pics, posts and communicate with friends & family while this sites service providers would charge me thousands more just to be allowed to post my pics here. Even after paying, they regularly fail to actually provide the service for which they have charged. Since I was last here, I’ve been to DC & NY to take the RADHA Mortgage program around to Congress at the Capital and look for investors for the company. That journey is logged with pics & updates on Face Book under Raghu Giuffre.
I was able to give the pamphlets of our RADHA mortgage and ROOPA health care program to about 25 Congressman that outline some simple solutions to these pressing economic issues. About 10 Congress members were initially seriously interested with one follow up with Steve King from Iowa. Great guy. Another half dozen were kind enough to pose with our pamphlets such as Maxine Waters from LA & Mr Moore. Those pics are also on Face Book.
I also went to about 100 offices, met with about 150 staff members such as Policy Directors etc and gave about 40 presentations. Maybe as many as 10 were seriously interested. For the most part, they were receptive, on occasion impressed, even excited; but they were always unable to respond to do the constraints of time and other pressing (and legitimate) priorities. With more time there in DC, we would have likely developed more interest from Congressman, but once I heard about Abercrombie retiring his seat here in Hawaii, I recognized that a campaign may in fact be a more effective way to get the word out about these great prospects we have been working on. And so it was today that I finished collecting the names required to file for the election that brings me here once again to update - for this roopa.org site remains the only one I have to work with for now.
I’ll be posting more, but will likely continue working most actively from Face Book. I will be starting a new site for the Congressional run shortly. More later, old friend & foot soldier of reform.
